School’s out for summer

It’s just me again. This is the last day of work for my day job. I love working in a high school, without having to do all the paperwork teachers have to do. yes I can teach but just don’t want to within the system we have. So I body guard. It’s great to hang with teens and watch them grow, evolve, and become the adults of tomorrow. Now don’t get me wrong some of these kids make me very nervous, not because they are bad kids but cuz they just don’t get that things happened before them and will continue to happen after them. I look around and see them driving with no concern for the world around them. If they drive like they walk the halls watch out. You can be right next to them and say excuse me and they not only don’t move but don’t even look to see why someone is talking. They have little respect for themselves let alone anyone else. So I’m glad for the break but now comes the hard part for me. Going through all Mikey’s things. I will be making list of the movies, music, books, subjects he liked, was interested in and putting the information up on here. Maybe Facebook, Myspace too. But for now just know it’s coming and watch and see. Love Kathy

it’s weird how well you can feel like you know someone through what they express in a song or any art form really. It’d be nice to know what kind of other things Michael liked. Im just some nobody from Columbus Ohio but just know that your son made a huge difference in not only my life but my closest friends as well and sadly we never got the chance to see or meet him but we’ll never forget his music and messages. Thank you, Ian

It’s 5:20 A.M. and I am listening to “By the Throat”. I had the pleasure of briefly meeting Mike at a show in Sioux Falls, and I just wanted to express the level of respect I held for him. He was so talented and kind, but I will never miss him. I have his music and voice to keep that at bay.
    Thank you,
    Mike D
