Emotions

There are so many emotions all of us are going through as we reach a year of Mikey’s passing. It has been a long but very fast year. I want to THANK so many of you it is hard to know where to start. I have to start with Brody/Brady he has been here at every turn for me, which is one of the reasons I believe Mikey picked him to start grooming for working and running some of Mikey best eyedea’s. He has been the behind the scenes voice of reason to me. Then of course their are you the others kids, Janessa, Jason, Mary Catherine, Bethany, Rachel, Maxx, Nick, Amanda, Austin, Chris, Sherri, and the many more of you who look in on me. I could list even the young kids from my classes, the ones Mikey believed in for poetry and music. Then there are all the people who we have just met due to the shared sadness, joy in knowing Mikey and your willingness to help spread and pass Mikey’s ideas to the world. Trina, Jamie, Ryan, Zach, who have worked to do benefits for Oct. Stress, Slug, and Ali for their checking on me. The artist who gave their time to make Mikey’s birthday celebrations, Kimya Dawson, Aesop, Dose, Dosh, Terrell, Glo, Jel and many more. We are all moving and learning our way with out our friend, mentor, confidant, and heart. The struggle we all face is what to do now? I have had some say I’m doing things different then they would, comment on how I should feel, that I should do to take care of myself, to wait with things Mikey was doing, and you get the picture. That’s nice of all of you.. I do take care of myself, I do know what Mikey was in the plans of doing, I know what he wanted for the world, his friends, other musicians, his family, and I will do my best to see all that come forth. It will be long and hard road but I believe we will all get there. Mikey is with us all we just need to listen to him when he’s speaking. Sometimes he will be very subtle and others he will scream just to get your attention. But as we listen to him, feel our way we will all get the happiness he wanted for all of us.
