Good day world. As I was out for a drive this morning, which is something we (Mikey & I) use to do often, I noticed that there seems to be a lot of adolescents out with their grandparents. It made me think of my family and the day of the week that was Mikey’s day with his grandparents which was Sat. We would go to breakfast and then he would go off to the shop with them. Do some cleaning and we would meet up later. He would clean at the shop and I would clean at home. On Sunday’s we spent it together, taken a drive or watching a movie, building something in the yard. Even in the winter we would make a pie in the snow and run around playing tag. So this pie thing was…. we would make a path in a big circle, put a few cross paths in it and make the back stairs home/safe. Then run until we couldn’t any more…. We did this when I was a kid and when Mikey was little, then with the dog when we got her. Then when Mikey got to be a teen we would do Sunday night TV at our house all the kids would come over and watch all the line up. Back then it was X-Files, Simpsons, That’s 70. We even had rules about no talking during the show but when the commercials came on everyone talked at once. It’s nice to see that adolescents are still hanging out with the old folks once in awhile. The seniors still have lots to teach us we just have to be willing to listen.
Thanks for support the up coming event “A Vaudeville Presentation of Big SHots” and all my rants this emotional week. Be safe, love and do something for someone else today.
