The Final E&A Tour, One Year Later

One year ago today marked the start of what would be the final tour, and shows that Eyedea & Abilities would play as a duo (though they did play alongside Tapes ‘n Tapes at the Walker a year ago yesterday). I had the privilege of going along to drive and selling merch for their two week East Coast tour. But before I get into that tour, I should probably give a little back-story.

    We will do our best to continue his legacy of improv(ing), recognizing the importance of audience and bringing every last drop of ourselves to the stage. It is the least we can do.

    I recently lost someone this year that I was very close with and know how stressful, yet therapeutic reminiscing can be. “By the Throat” and many other Eyedea songs became the soundtrack to my depression and how to overcome it. I admire everything you are all doing to keep his legacy alive so that it can continue to help others with their struggles along the way.
